Your Commitment Was Appreciated

Clarklake Machine, Incorporated wishes to thank US Rep. Mark Schauer of the 7th District for presenting our company the Jackson County Government Contractor of the year 2008. It is both gratifying and humbling to accept this honor in recognition of being selected by the Enterprise Group of Jackson's Procurement Technical Assistance Center.

Our goal however was not to achieve an award, but instead to help the US Servicemen and women who risk their lives every day to keep all of us free by providing them with the best high tech manufactured parts we are able to produce so they might complete their mission and return safely home to their own families.

Clarklake Machine, Inc. needs to point out the commitment and hard work of other companies and individuals who helped make the safety of our troops the number one objective. The excellence provided by Burkard Industries, Incorporated of Clinton Township, Michigan for complex coating applications, Precise Test Lab, Incorporated of Jackson, Michigan for magnetic particle inspection. It is absolutely essential to acknowledge the long time relationship with Alro Steel, Incorporated, that provided the tooling and steel material along with technical expertise by Alro’s Engineers Tina Deitsch and Cary Pace.

Clarklake Machine Inc.'s own devoted employees were the star players and included: Tooling Engineer Matthew DeKarske, QA Manager, Bill Galbraith, QA Tech Ramon Hutson, Supervisors Martin Dekarske, and Loren Van Epps, Material Handling Manager Debby DeKarske, Marketing Director Stephen DeKarske, and Special Project Manager Bill Hirsch.

All of these companies and wonderful people working together could never have gotten the opportunity to do what we were able to in order to help our soldiers without the mentorship faithfully given by PTAC Director Penny Southwell, and PTAC Tech Associate Fran LaRosa. Their day to day goal is to bring government work to Jackson, County Michigan by helping local companies cope with the application process.

The height of this award ultimately was made possible with the professional guidance and leadership provided by the US Army TACOM-LCMC, Rock Island POC Stephanie Wilson.

Thank you,

Clarklake Machine, Incorporated
